There’s a partyphile in every Filipino. Guests to Richard Gutierrez’s birthday bash titled A Handsome Journey held recently at One Esplanade proved this true.
A Handsome Journey was sort of a looking back to the young actor’s career including the struggles he has gone through to reach where he is now today. From an outsider’s point of view, Richard’s is a success story. Who would ever think that a simple guy like Richard would become GMA 7’s top star?
For the past years, Richard has made certified box-office hits like Let the Love Begin, I Will Always Love You, The Promise and Sigaw (Echo). On TV, he has played well-loved characters on Mulawin, Captain Barbell and now Kamandag. All of this is proof how good Richard’s career is.
Richard is thankful for GMA 7 which has paved the way for his showbiz career. In return, he always gives his best in every project that comes his way. On Feb. 13, Richard will be seen with Marian Rivera on the big screen via My Best Friend’s Girlfriend. It’s another reason why Richard is smiling these days.
Also celebrating his birthday at One Esplanade was Richard’s twin brother Raymond. Raymond has also a budding career as host to shows like GMA 7’s Showbiz Central and S.O.P. and Q-11’s Livin’ It Up. He will also be seen on Pinoy Idol.
Raymond and Issa Litton hosted the fabulous party with the special appearances of Joey de Leon, Richard Gomez, Janno Gibbs and Ogie Alcasid. They serenaded the twins in a Sobrang OJ Pare-inspired segment.
Also seen gracing the affair were Maxene Magalona, Ehra Madrigal, Rhian Ramos, Jewel Mische, Chynna Ortaleza and Isabel Oli. The ladies did a sing and dance number for the celebrators. There was also the Lie Detector Test segment which will be aired this Sunday on Showbiz Central. Let’s find out how Richard feels for Jewel, Marian and KC Concepcion.
Others who were hobnobbing that night were parents Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez, sister Ruffa Gutierrez, German Moreno, Mother Lily Monteverde, Joyce Jimenez, Anna Roces, lawyer Bebong Muñoz and Tim Yap.
Before everybody could hit the dancefloor for non-stop partying and dancing, Eddie made a toast for the success of Richard and Raymond to close the event.
