The morning after her one-night concert at The Fort Wednesday night, everybody who was there was gushing how beautiful and how “magnetic” a singer Beyoncé was.
“It was probably the best concert I’ve ever seen this year,” said a well-rounded talent manager who, I must say, has seen and heard almost all of the world’s top artists. “It helped that Beyoncé exuded a positive aura. She easily won the heart of the audience.”
But wait, did you know that one Filipino seemed to have single-handedly won the heart of the former Destiny’s Child and he’s none other than, hold your breath, Rowell Santiago?
According to the Funfare Update DPA, Beyoncé met Rowell backstage. No, even if he’s a concert director (mostly of those starring his good friend Gary Valenciano), Rowell wasn’t involved in Beyoncé’s concert in any way. True to form, Rowell is interested more in what’s going on backstage instead of onstage.
“That night,” added the DPA, “Rowell stayed mostly backstage to observe the goings-on. He was given a ‘pass’ by Rhiza Pascua, the international concert producer, who is one of those behind the Beyoncé event. Backstage, Beyoncé and Rowell hit it off beautifully. She must have been ‘disarmed’ by Rowell’s charm.”
Anyway, Beyoncé reportedly got so fascinated with Rowell that she begged off from the post-concert party, saying she was “tired,” and promptly retired to her room at a five-star hotel. Did she really invite Rowell to keep her company? If so, did they play beautiful music together (Rowell being also a music lover)? Did Rowell, hmmmm, “sleep over”?
Beyoncé left at 10:30 yesterday morning for Seoul for a two-night concert in the same private plane that flew her to Manila from Macau (after doing Shanghai) Tuesday morning. She scrapped a plan to visit our historical spots (like the Fort Santiago) and the beaches.
Now, are Rowell’s lips sealed? Did he “sign” any “confidentiality” agreement? What kind of music did he and Beyoncé make?

Did Carlene really ‘confront’ Cristine?
Meanwhile, the following item doesn’t sound “musical” at all.
Funfare’s Timog-Morato DPA said that Carlene Aguilar, who has a love son by Dennis Trillo, confronted Cristine Reyes the other day at GMA 7’s Broadway Centrum Studio during the taping of All-Star K where Cristine, rumored to be Dennis’ “secret girlfriend,” was one of the guests.
Carlene allegedly pretended that she was visiting her friend Jenny Miller, another guest, whom Carlene asked to introduce her to Cristine.
“The two were in a huddle, as if in a serious conversation,” reported the DPA.
Did Carlene ask Cristine what the real score is between her and Dennis? Why did Carlene have to do it when she and Dennis have been saying that they had parted ways a few months before Carlene learned that she was pregnant? Could it be true that Carlene and Dennis never parted at all and they were just “misleading” the public into thinking that they were “off”?
“The scene would have been more dramatic if Carlene brought along her baby. Because she was rattled by Carlene’s ‘surprise’ visit,” the DPA said, “Cristine couldn’t concentrate on the show and she was the first to be ‘killed’ (eliminated).”
Did Cristine really leave the studio in tears?
