Body Talk with Cogie Domingo

The passing year hasn’t been good to Cogie Domingo. He has been scarce in the movie scene, with his presence felt – and how! – only when his name was dragged into a mess stirred up by a non-showbiz girl who pointed to Cogie as the father of her unborn child. Coming to Cogie’s defense, his mom Zeny Domingo debunked the girl’s "testimony" by exposing her background (dug up in a thorough research) and threatening to file a counter charge against the girl who threatened to sue Cogie.

Asked what’s the best lesson he has learned this year, Cogie broke into a weak smile and said, "To be careful with people I go out with."

And to take the, well "necessary precaution." (Yes, blush, he keeps a rubber in his wallet.)

He spent a good part of the year vacationing in the States, that’s why he wasn’t visible in either television or the movies. But he’s bouncing back starting in January next year via Teamwork/Zennet World Films’ Mourning Girls, an entry at the Metro Filmfest which starts showing first day of the new year.

Directed by Gil M. Portes from a screenplay by Senedy Que, Adolf Alix and Portes himself, Mourning Girls is a comedy about a man (played by Ricky Davao) who, upon his death, was discovered to have a few other women in his life aside from his wife (Glydel Mercado), played by Chin-Chin Gutierrez (a promdi-turned-renewed Christian), Assunta de Rossi (a has-been seductress of Philippine Cinema) and Juliana Palermo (the seductive maid). Cogie plays Ricky and Glydel’s son in what is described as a "Mourning to remember."

Cogie stands 5’10", weighs 175 lbs., has a 33-inch waistline and wears medium-sized shirt and size 11.5 shoes.
