Finalists in 1st Levi Pop Song Writing Fest

The Viva Foundation for the Arts announced the names of the finalists in the First Levi Pop Song Writing Festival. These are: Ikaw by Derrick Anselmo; Babadap-badap by Gary Granada; Time to Let Go by Rebel Magdagasang; Ngumingiti-ngiti by Manuel Mallillin; Sa ‘king Panaginip by Melvin Marallos; Hopeless Romantic by Christian Martinez; Baliw by Serafin Murillo; Alam Ko, Alam Mo by Gerry Olaguer; 6 Feet by Emmanuel Panaligan; Ganyan ang Pag-ibig Ko by Enrico Sta. Maria; and Hanggang Saan, Hanggang Kailan by Arnold Reyes; and I’m Sorry by Soc Villanueva and Jungee Marcelo. The finalists were chosen by 50 music industry experts and lay people from over one thousand song entries from all over the country. The finals will be held on April 2, 2004 at the University of the Philippines Theater. The Grand Prize winner will receive P250,000 for his work. Also at stake are P100,000 for the second prize winner, P75,000 for third place and P10,000 each for rest of the 12 finalists.
