Not really impossible
Who says it’s impossible to go back in time? Monster Radio RX 93.1 returned to the ’80s and brought along a totally different generation with them at the Yuppie Retro Night Party. The euphoric event was held at Wherelse Makati, one of today’s exciting dance clubs and one of the hottest nightspots in the ’80s as well when it was still called Euphoria.

The whole place was packed with people wearing tight stonewashed or acid-washed jeans, bright colored leggings and rolled-up polo shirts. And of course, the ’80s theme wouldn’t have been complete without the guys wearing eyeliners and girls sporting teased hairs.

The event was hosted by RX’s unmatchable Morning Rush DJ’s Chico and Delamar who dished out trivia questions that delved on ’80s information on Miami Vice, Michael Jackson, Tears for Fears and even Phoebe Cates. After that, the Red Velvet Band took over and had everyone dancing to music from the decade. The crowd went wild and they did the Running Man, The Roger Rabbit and yes, even the Molly Ringwald dances.

The night climaxed with the awarding of a prize for the "Best ’80s Get-up" who went to a Monster Radio listener who sported paint-splattered tights, a denim mini-skirt and jacket with matching Chuck Taylor sneakers. Even her dangling purple triangle earrings complemented her ’80s get-up.

The RX Yuppie Night
is the latest edition of the RX 93.1 Yuppie Night party series geared to the young working crowd. Monster Radio also recently saluted the Batch 2003 students with a graduation party called Within the Walls in Intramuros. The event was co-presented by WOW Philippines – the Department of Tourism’s Visit Philippines 2003 program.

Furthermore, this summer, the infamous Wooka-Wooka Bird will again be on the loose. Listeners are advised to be on the look-out for the Bird which can lead them to a vacation package in the country’s hottest summer spots.

This season sizzles on Summer’s Hottest, Monster Radio RX 93.1.
