East Asia tourism leaders converge in Cebu summit
MANILA, Philippines — Cebu province is gearing up for the 19th East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Forum (EATOF) General Assembly, which will bring together governors and tourism officials from 12 member provinces and regions from Sept. 2 to 4.
Cebu Gov. Pam Baricuatro said the province’s hosting of the three-day gathering reflects its growing role as a regional tourism hub and its commitment to strengthening international partnerships.
“We want our guests to experience not only the beauty of Cebu, but also the warmth, hospitality and excellence of the Cebuanos. This is an opportunity to showcase what Cebu can offer while building stronger partnerships across East Asia,” she said.
The EATOF General Assembly is expected to further promote Cebu as a destination for tourism, investment and regional cooperation while opening opportunities for stronger collaboration among participating East Asian provinces and regions.
