Civilian hurt in NPA attack

LEGAZPI CITY – A student was hit by a stray bullet when New People’s Army (NPA) rebels attacked Army soldiers guarding an infrastructure project in Pasacao, Camarines Sur on Thursday.
Abegail Potenia, 18, was taken to a hospital in Naga City for treatment.
Senior Inspector Malou Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said the rebels fired at personnel of the 93rd Reconnaisance Company detailed as security escorts of GCI Construction Co. in Barangay Bahay at about 12:05 p.m.
Pursuit operations for the rebels are ongoing.
