“We leave fate of the CJ Sereno to Congress,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque kahapon.

Nilinaw pa ni Veloso na sa desisyon ng SC noong 1963 ay sinasabing “if at the time of appointment, petitioner did not have necessary qualifications for the office...then he did not have the right to be there.”

“The most that the Chief Justice can claim is she has been a ‘chief justice de facto.’ The members of the Supreme Court cannot dismiss her; there should be a case but let her go to court and challenge the action of the President if the President recalls the appointment,” paliwanag pa ni Veloso.
