CEBU, Philippines — Mandaue City opens its Mandaue Food, Beverages and Lifestyle Night Market yesterday, as part of its celebration of the Panagtagbo Festival.

Mandaue City Tourism Officer Josephus Bihag said the night market is intended to showcase the products of Mandaue.

"Event siya nga naa tanan, nga showcase kung unsa’y ma-offer sa Mandaue," he added.

Bihag said that the night market not only offers food items but other goods as well.

"Dili ni sya naglimit sa food. It’s kana bitaw’ng mura’g one-stop nga event siya nga naa tanan," he said.

The event is organized by Mandaue City in partnership with TAGA Mandaue Inc., an NGO of lumad Mandauehanons for the event.

Bihag said that the night market will also feature different kinds of food produced by companies that are exporters from Mandaue.

"Naa gihapon ang mga food and drinks. Naa gihapon ang barbeque etcetera nga mga klase sa pagkaon, but wala ta naglimit lang sa food," he said.

"We have also mga companies nga mga exporter nga from Mandaue gyud — mga anything about Mandaue nga pwede natong to be proud of like, for example, atong mga delicacies like bibingka," he added.

Ready-to-wear (RTW) clothes are also available at the market.

" Di ni mga RTWs nga mga ukay-ukay but makaingon ta nga naa sa’y class ba," said Bihag.
