2 dead, 4 hurt in Calabarzon mishaps

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna  , Philippines  —  Two persons died while four others, including three soldiers and a police officer, were injured in separate vehicular accidents in the provinces of Batangas, Rizal and Quezon on Saturday.

Pablo Bayungan was declared dead on arrival at the Metro Balayan Medical Center after his motorcycle slammed into an Isuzu truck that was parked in Barangay Ermita, Balayan, Batangas on Saturday.

In Rizal, Ronald Christian Olivay died at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a truck in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Antipolo City.

Reports said Olivay was traveling along Sumulong Highway when he figured in the accident at around 2:20 a.m.

Truck driver Adolfo Tulabing surrendered to authorities after the incident.

Meanwhile, Police Officer 3 Nancy Lorilla was taken to the Sto. Rosario Hospital after a car hit the tricycle she was riding in Barangay Namunga, Sto. Rosario town in Batangas.

In Quezon, Cpl. Elmer Diaz, Pfc. Victor Arieta and Pfc. Talondita, whose first name was not immediately known, were traveling in Catanauan when their truck rammed a mango tree in Barangay Bilucao, Pitogo town.

Reports said Talondita lost control of the wheel.
