Dancesport Team Cebu City pockets six golds in Malaysian Open
CEBU, Philippines — The tandem of Eleanor Hayco and Anselmo Estillore, Jr. stole the show as Dancesport Team Cebu City struck six gold medals in the 5th KLDSA Malaysian Open Dancesport Championship staged last Saturday (October 8) at the Tan Sri Hamza Arena, Wisma OCM in Kuala Kumpur.
Hayco and Estillore were accounted for Dancesport TCC’s four gilts after emerging as champion in chachacha, rumba, and jive events of the senior single dance, and in the senior 3 dance.
Hanae More and Elmer Fernando produced the team’s two other golds after reigning supreme in slow waltz and tango classification of senior single dance. More and Fernando fell short of a golden treble though, settling for only a silver in senior 3 dance.
On the other hand, Alvilon Arriesgado and Malvin Jamali turned in another silver for Dancesport TCC after placing second in the amateur open ballroom standard. — EBV
