Cherry Andrin sizzles in Cancer Warriors’ footrace
CEBU, Philippines — Cherry Andrin topped the women’s 10-kilometer race of he Rose Pharmacy-presented Cancer Warriors’ Run at Ayala Center-Cebu’s Terraces over the weekend.
Andrin crossed the finish line with the best time of 43 minutes and 13.28 seconds. Ruffa Sorongon placed second with a 43:14.27 clocking followed by Karen Manayon in 46:21.66.
Manayon’s teammate at Omega Tri Team, Marielle Estreba, outsmarted a bunch of fast-rising runners to rule the women’s 5K battle in 20:41.19.
Kenyans Jackson Chirchir and Eric Chipsiror, on the other hand, lorded it over in their respective divisions. Chirchir won the men’s 10K race in 33:07.920, while Chipsiror got the men’s 5K in 16:31.49.
In the 3K action, Ariel Saballa (9:48.98) and Princess Jive Borneo (12:17.11) stamped their respective classes. (FREEMAN)
