4 Cebu jins to don Phl colors in world tikefest
CEBU, Philippines - Four Cebuano jins will be representing the country in this year’s World Taekwondo Hanmadang Championships set from August 21 to 24 in Pohang City, South Korea.
They are McAvynger Alob, Clement Tan, Rinna Babanto and Mary Nicole Maurin.
This is the first time for Alob, who is now with De La Salle University, and Tan, to see action on the world stage and the second time for Babanto and Maurin.
The Philippine Taekwondo Association will be sending a total of 14 players under the national training pool.
The rest of Phl's representatives to the Korea joust are Jaylord Seridon, Jeordan Dominguez, Joe Vanni Colega, Rodolfo Reyes Jr., Juvenile Faye Crisostomo, Leanarda Nicole Landrito, Elisabella Cesista, Jocel Lyn Ninobla, Clare Therese Gacson and Janna Dominique Oliva.
After the competition, the Filipino delegates will stay for six more days in Korea for the annual training. (FREEMAN)
