Exciting motocross action in San Remigio this Sunday: Ornopia gears up for comeback event of MS Motosuit Series
CEBU, Philippines - Making sure that no stone will be left unturned in his comeback race as organizer, revered businessman-sportsman Lou Ornopia personally supervised the construction of a world-class racetrack for his upcoming motocross competition on Palm Sunday in Barangay Calambua, San Remigio.
"We've painstakingly designed our race course to make it more exciting and appealing for the riders. This is my comeback race and I want to make it an event to remember for the participants," said Ornopia, a one-time 'Sportsman of the Year' awardee by the Sporswriters Association of Cebu (SAC).
Ornopia, considered as the 'Godfather of Cebu Motocross', said the racetrack is highly technical and is patterned after that of the international standard.
"It's something that the riders should really look forward to. Fans of this extreme sport should also watch it out because I can assure that it's going to be a very entertaining motocross action," added Ornopia who is also the big boss of MS Motosuit, the event's chief corporate backer.
Billed as the 15th Calambua Motocross Cup, the one-day tilt draws over 100 daredevils not only from Cebu but also from other areas of the Vis-Min region.
The initial offering of Ornopia's planned six-leg series for MS Motosuit this year also serves as a sidelight of Calambua's annual fiesta in honor of their beloved patron San Vicente Ferrer.
