Sunsport training camp resumes Saturday

CEBU, Philippines - The Sunsport Basketball Training Camp, which was extended due to strong public clamor, will resume this Saturday at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street, this city.

The cage clinic covers two hours per session from 12nn to 2 pm.

Camp Director Jojo Romarate said the participants will be taught on all the fundamentals of the sport such as proper shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork and other related drills. On top of that, they will also learn about offensive and defensive strategies, on-court communication and other technical aspect of the game.

"Above all these drills, we want to instill in them the value of hardwork, discipline and teamwork as well as the spirit of sportsmanship, which is the very essence of a well-rounded athlete," said Romarate, also the longtime coach of the Salazar Colleges of Science and Insitute of Technology (SCSIT) Skyblazers.

Registration fee is pegged at only P1,000 inclusive of a training jersey and a Sunsport Basketball.
