Concepcion arrives, fires verbal tirade at Servania

CEBU, Philippines - Everything is already in place as Panamian fighter Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion has already arrived in Cebu, six days ahead of his highly-anticipated ring date with ALA Boxing Gym stalwart Genesis “Azucal” Servania topbilling the "Pinoy Pride XXII: The Revenge" on October 26 at the Pacific grand ballroom of Waterfront-Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

The countdown begins as Concepcion landed with trainer Rigoberto Garibaldi at the Mactan International Airport at 8:15am last Sunday.   

In less than six days, Concepcion will come face to face with Servania, the Filipino warrior vying to avenge AJ “Bazooka” Banal for a devastating loss to Concepcion five years ago.

“I have fought better boxers than Servania has faced," said the veteran Concepcion. “He doesn't have punching power," he added.

Despite being the more experienced fighter, Servania's camp refuses to acknowledge his superiority.

Servania is undefeated in 22 fights with eight wins coming by knockout, while Concepcion sports an 18-6-1 slate also spiked with 8KOs.

Boxing fans  will have an opportunity to assess Concepcion's true worth when he steps in the ring against Servania in a 12-round slugfest for the WBO Intercontinental super bantamweight championship.
