CEBU, Philippines - There's no stopping May Joy Tabal from reaffirming her status as Cebu's long distance running queen after she topped the women's 21-kilometer race of the Kapamilya Run-Cebu's "One Run, One Philippines" yesterday at SM-Northwing grounds.

Two weeks after making waves in the Cebu leg of the 37th National Milo Marathon, Tabal notched another resounding triumph through this charity event bankrolled by ABS-CBN. She came out the fastest performer among female entries with the time of one hour, 25 minutes and 52 seconds.

Mereeis Ramirez was a far second, finishing 11 seconds behind Tabal as Christy Sevilleno copped the third place honors with a 1:39:27 clocking. Ultramarathoner Sandra Sollano and Jinggay Lugay wound up fourth and fifth with the time of 1:40:46 and 1:51:51, respectively.

In the men's division, Abraham Missos shot back to limelight after registering the best time of one hour, 12 minutes, and 46 seconds, just a second ahead of his fellow Kenyan Isaac Simat.

Rafael Piscos landed at third in 1:14:46, while Robert Daang (1:19:06) and Joland Olmilla (1:20:44) occupied the next two spots.

In the 10K division, Kenyan Francis Kakui crossed the finish line first with a time of 35 minutes and 53.44 seconds. Juniel Narciso came out second in 41:37 as John Balaga (41:38), Michael Romarate (41:39), and Roy Anthony Ginocora (43:01) rounded up the top five list.

The Andrin sisters once again stamped their respective classes, with Lovely and Jhean posting a one-two finish in the women's 10K and Cherry ruling the women's 5K in 20 minutes and 16.35 seconds.

Lovely clocked in 45 minutes and 34 seconds, just one step ahead of Jhean. Sarale Cuizon took the third spot in the women's 10K in 49:53, while Tessie Escasinas (53:46) and Maylen Conde (53:58) ended up fourth and fifth.

In the men's 5K action, John Daryl Manos stood the tallest at the podium with the best time of 16 minutes and 6.86 seconds. Romnick Lomindas was at second place in 17:51.49 followed by Rolan Batiancila (18:17), Lionel Turno (18:43) and Rorich Masong (19:16). (FREEMAN)
