Alcoy Siloy bootfest slated Aug. 25
CEBU, Philippines - It's all systems go for the second edition of the Alcoy Siloy Football Tournament on August 25 at Alcoy's parish grounds.
The one-day action, which is among the highlights of Alcoy's annual fiesta celebration in honor of their beloved patron Saint Rose of Lima, features the under-13 and under-17 age groups. Both categories will be playing a 7-a-side format.
Each team is allowed to field a maximum of 15 players.
Points system will be applied in the tournament, while a penalty shootout will be done only at the start of the semifinal round.
Cash prizes will be given away to the winners. The champion in the under-17 division will take home P7,000, while the second and third will receive P3,000 and P2,000, respectively. The top three in the under-13 division will pocket P2,000, P1,500, and P1,000. (FREEMAN)
