Adlawan snares back-to-back titles in Kopiko supercross
CEBU, Philippines - Multi-titled Cebuano rider Jon-Jon Adlawan made another impressive run to rule the pro lite division of the 7th leg of Kopiko Astig 3-in-one supercross series the other day in Cagayan de Oro City.
Adlawan went through a tough battle against the country's No.1 rider Glenn Aguilar, but the Cebuano daredevil flashed his top form to snare the crown, his second straight after topping the first leg in Tacloban City last June.
Burnok Mangosong settled for third place, while another Cebuano rider Jubenile Abellar and Donak Yuson occupied the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Adlawan, however, failed to come up with a double victory as he only placed third in the pro open division won by Mangosong.
Glenn Lapuz came out the fastest in the open enduro category, while Christian Morente lorded it over in the local enduro race. Jungle Cabuco snatched the underbone crown as Jannel Saulog claimed the top spot in the women’s class.
The rest of the winners were Glenn Gaid (peewee 50cc), BJ Pepito (peewee 65cc), McLean Aguilar (mini), Jordan Herrera (veterans C), Anthony Belican (veterans B) and Michael Rivera (veterans A). (FREEMAN)
