‘Takbo Laban sa Krimen’ slated March 16

CEBU, Philippines - It's all systems go for the first ever ‘Takbo Laban sa Krimen’ on March 16 at the Cebu IT Park in Brgy. Apas, this city.

The race, sponsored by Natures' Spring, Suarez Bros., Julie's Bakeshop, RC Goldline, Globe Telecom, Virginia Foods, Inc., and Orange Brutus, is organized by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region(CIDG-7) and Community Investigative Support (CIS) as part of its advocacy in combating criminalities in the community.

The fund-raising event for the benefit of the Batang-Opon Children Foundation features the 5K, 10K and 16K categories.

Cash prizes, trophies and certificates of recognition will be given away to the three placers in each category, while all finishers will receive a certificate of participation from CIDG-CIS.

Registration fee is pegged at P350 for the 16K and P300 for 10K and 5K. Students will have to pay only P250.

Entry forms are available at CIDG-7 office in Camp Sotero Cabahug, RUNNR in Ayala Center Cebu, Parkmall in Mandaue City and Cebu City Sports Center.
