Camotes to host mountainbike tilt on March 9
CEBU, Philippines - After triathlon, the municipality of San Francisco at the picturesque Camotes Island will play host to another sporting spectacle - the 8th Camotes Island Cross-Country Mountainbike Challenge on March 9.
The event will feature seven classifications:the combined junior-senior, beginners, masters, veterans, golden boys and the Camotes bikers’ class.
The participants of the grueling race will be dealing with a total of 38 kilometers of flat, uphill and downhill course.
The one-day tilt is organized by the Camotes Off-Bikers Association, with the technical aspect being handled by Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (SAFE) of Joel Baring.
Cash prizes and medals will be given away to the top finishers in each class.
Registration fee is pegged at P50 only.
