Jepoy ‘99, First Family Appliance ‘96 triumph in CECABA
CEBU, Philippines - Jepoy '99 and The First Family Appliance Circle '96 subdued separate rivals in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association's 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Friday night at the CEC gym.
Class '99 easily dispatched Dewfoam '88, 57-39, while Class '96 overcame a late rally by JV Shop n Shop '97 to hack out a 51-45 win.
Mark Eugene Bukiron single-handedly carry Class '99 to victory with 30 points on top of 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks in all dazzling show of hardcourt brilliance.
No other player cashed in double figures for Class '99, which was in full control after closing the first half with a 25-18 lead.
Ernest Tanting paced Class '88 with 12 points followed by Rey Kennth Ng with 10 markers.
Class '96, on the other hand, relied on its balanced offensive attack to repulse Class '97. Dreyfuss Ang paced Class '96 with nine points that went along with four rebounds, seven assists and six steals.
