CEBU, Philippines - Aside from the P60,000 in cash prize at stake, several exciting items will also be given away to the top finishers of the 2012 Timex Run slated on August 19 starting at the Osmeña Boulevard in front of the Cebu Normal University (CNU) and ending at the Cebu City Sports Center.
The top three winners in the 16K open category will receive P7,000, P5,000, and P3,000, respectively. The champion in the 10K division will pocket P5,000, while the second and third will get P3,000 and P2,000. The top three in the 5K action will take home P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000.
They will all receive a brand new Timex Ironman watches, while the champion in each category will get an additional Skechers shoes.
Race coordinator Ricky Ballesteros is confident that they can draw a good number of entries even though there's also a big running event taking place on that day - the Run For Sight-initiated University Run.
Those who want to join the fun and excitement the Timex Run brings have until August 18 to register. Entry fee is pegged at P400 for the 5K, P500 for the 10K and P600 for the 16K.
On-site registration is accepted at the CCSC and at the Ayala Active Zone beside Bread Talk.
