CEBU, Philippines - A total of 22 teams, including three newcomers and three returnees, will see action in the CCSC E-League Basketball Games 2012, which will kick off on April 29 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
The newest entries are Teleperformance, Odusee Phils and Eli Global, while Sykes Asia, Cebu Global and 1and1 have confirmed their return to the league.
The tournament is divided into two conferences - North and South - of 11 teams each. They will play in a single round robin format in the elimination phase.
Playing in the Northern Conference are Convergys, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Stream, 1and1, Eperformax, Aegis, Calltek, Kyocera, Qualfon, Xlibris and Executive Boutique, while the contending squads in the South are Cebu Global Teleservices, Teletech, Lexmark, Opinionology, SupportSave, Accenture, Wipro, Teleperformance, Odusee Phils and Eli Global.
The top eight in each conference will proceed into the playoffs wherein seeds one to four will enjoy twice-to-beat incentives over the lower-ranked squads.
The semifinals and conference finals will be a best-of-three affair. The champions in the North and South will then collide in a best-of-three series for the overall championship. (FREEMAN)
