CEBU, Philippines - Another run for a good cause will take place in the Queen City of the South via the 1st Integrity Run billed as “I Run for Integrity…Towards a New Philippines” set on February 5 at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.
The symbolic run organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) aims to unite participants toward a common goal of initiating a collective action in the fight against corruption.
The race is conceptualized by Integrity Initiative, a private sector lead campaign that aims at diminishing, if not fully eradicating, the vicious cycle of corruption in the Philippines which has not only increased poverty levels but had likewise hindered the development of a competitive business environment that operates on a basis of a level playing field.
The organizers are inviting all groups and individuals from the private sector, government (executive, legislative and judiciary), academe/youth, civil society, church and media to join the event.
The categories to be contested include the 3K, 6K and 12K. The distribution of singlets and race numbers will start on Sunday.
Entry fee is pegged at P250.
