CEBU, Philippines - The second leg of the Summit Triathlon Team Championship Series will be moved from January 28 next year to February 4 and 5 still in Siquijor.
This was relayed by event organizer Benjoe Gimenez to The Freeman the other day.
With the re-scheduling of the event, triathletes are expected to be more prepared and the competition will stiffer than the first leg in Bohol last month.
The first team competition in triathlon in the Visayas has three legs with the final leg set here in Cebu.
Aside from the team event, triathletes who don’t have a team, can still join the event with an individual race also included.
Age brackets featured are the male 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 5-above while the distaff side has the female open class, a free-for-all battle due to limited number of entries.
A tandem or relay competition is also featured in the event for those who are only good at one or two of the sporting disciplines of the event. (FREEMAN)
