MANILA, Philippines - More than just honing one’s skills in sports, there’s also a need to balance academics and sports as well as proper nutrition and diet.

These are the salient points that will be discussed in the upcoming Keynotes on the Intelligence Diet and Sports of your kids (KIDS) on December 3 at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu gym in Brgy. Canduman, Mandaue.

Although the event is part of SHS-Ateneo's sports development program, it is open to all interested individuals.

The one-day activity will be handled by experts in the field of sports and nutrition.

Former Ateneo Blue Eagle star and Smart Gilas team captain Chris Tiu will tackle about balancing academics and sports.

The equally-popular and established coach Jim Saret will handle development of a star athlete.

FEU’s strength and conditioning coach Eski Ripoll will tackle on getting your kid in motion, while coach Eski’s wife Belay, the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) nutritionist, will talk about ”optimal nutrition for optimum performance.”

Registration fee is pegged at P100. For further information, interested parties may call Agnes Dizon at 0917-6300064/316-0663 or Carmen Serrano at 0917-6212818/0922-8301622. - THE FREEMAN
