Daanbantayan to host 6th leg of MS Motosuit motocross tilt
CEBU, Philippines – Cebu's top riders and the rest of their challengers in the Vis-Min area resume their rivalry in the racetrack as the 2010 MS Motosuit Motocross Series plunges back into action this Sunday in Poblacion, Agujo, Daanbantayan.
Dubbed as the "3rd Maria Luisa Luot Motocross Competition," the event serves as the sixth leg of the MS Motosuit Series.
At least 50 riders are all set to see action in the lung-busting race organized by councilor Malou Pepito and fiesta executive committee head Simplicio Mantos.
Expected to spice up the competition is the tough and treacherous racetrack, which is designed by Cebu's most decorated daredevil Pepo Rubi.
Top peewee rider BJ Pepito, on the other hand, feels a mixture of excitement and anxiousness as he will show off his maneuvering skills before his hometown fans.
Meanwhile, MS Motosuit big boss Lou Ornopia vowed to sustain what he had been doing for motocross here and in other parts of the country inspite of the continuing economic crunch.
For his relentless efforts and invaluable contribution to the development of motocross, Ornopia was recently honored as one of the 10 Outstanding Cebuano awardees in the field of sports and promotions. (FREEMAN)
