Convergys now 5-0 in Inter-BPO cagefest

CEBU, Philippines - Defending champion Convergys stretched its unbeaten streak to five with a 67-47 thrashing of Western Wats, 67-47, in the 6th Inter-BPO Basketball Tournament the other day at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.

Convergys trailed, 9-12, at the end of the first quarter, but whipped up a tide-turning rally in the second canto to wrest the driver's seat at halftime, 24-18, for good.

Mare Pajo paced Convergys with 20 points, while Arnold Esteban added 10. Dennis Noel Poquita and Rhett Romeo Tomakin nailed 24 markers combined for Western Wats.

In the other games, Eperformax thrashed Calltek, 48-41, while Cebu Global trounced Vector BPO, 64-41.
