CEBU, Philippines - The organizer of the PBA game in Cebu dubbed as “Duwa sa Sugbo” will be giving out five wheelchairs to their beneficiary – the Jesus S. Avila Foundation, Inc.
According to one of the organizers Dr, Boy Te, JCI Senator and past president of the Metro Cebu Uptown Jaycees, they are donating wheelchairs to persons with disabilities as beneficiaries and they chose the Avila Foundation.
The Metro Cebu Uptown Jaycees is hosting a bearing PBA game on May 22 at the Cebu Coliseum between crowd-favorite Barangay Ginebra against the Alaska Aces, which recently figured in a blockbuster trade with former Southwestern University Baby Cobra Cyrus Baguio going to the Aces and Willie Miller going to the Gins.
Since this is a bearing game, both teams will also bring their respective imports.
Te said that the teams will arrive on May 21.
His group is also hoping that the management of both teams will allow them to organize a fans day for the Cebuanos.
Te and fellow Uptown Jaycee members Carlos Porras and Reeve Jumawan were the guests of the weekly SCOOP sports forum hosted by Bobby Inoferio of the CCTN-Channel 47.
Te said that bringing here the Gin Kings is a promise fulfilled for the Cebuanos after they first brought here the San Miguel Beermen and Red Bull Barako game two years ago.
The tickets are sold at P1,000 for patrons (on stage), P700 for ringside, P450 for lower box, P250 for upper box and P100 for the general admission. – THE FREEMAN
