CEBU, Philippines - University of Cebu Junior Webmasters playmaker Jerie Marlon Pingoy has been released by the UC management to play for the Far Eastern University (FEU) Baby Tamaraws in the UAAP.
UC coach Reggie Licanda said the youthful Pingoy has been properly released from UC with the permission of team manager and UC College of Law Dean Atty. Baldomero C. Estenzo.
Pingoy, a crafty pointguard, is a member of the Palarong Pambansa Mythical Five and a key player for the UC juniors who made it into the CESAFI Partner’s Cup finals. He was also instrumental for UC’s scoring a sweep in both the CESAFI regular season and Partner’s Cup last year but he is leaving his team without a crown.
Aside from FEU, Pingoy also got offers to play for San Beda, La Salle and Letran. (FREEMAN NEWS)
