CEBU, Philippines - Reelectionist Sen. Pia Cayetano leads hundreds of runners that will hit the road early morning today for the Visayas leg of the 5th Pinay In Action (PIA) Run starting and ending at the Asiatown IT Park grounds in Brgy. Apas, this city.
Cayetano will see action in the 10-kilometer race. There will also be the 5K category for the intermediate runners and 3K for the beginners and fun runners.
The PIA Run is designed primarily to promote women’s health, create awareness on violence against women and other related concerns.
A total of P30,000 in cash prize is at stake for the top performers of the event.
Senator Cayetano hopes that the Cebu action will become an annual event with the help of some local groups here. (FREEMAN NEWS)
