CEBU, Philippines - Matias Foods Haus zapped CGC Multi Appliance, 106-90, for its second win in three starts in the Inter-Company basketball tournament at the Banilad Sports Center in Mandaue City.
The tandem of former SWU Cobras Jessie Lumantas and Axel Joseph Rabaya found their range so early to power Matias Food Haus to a 14-point advantage, 31-17, after the first 10 minutes of play.
The Foodmasters stayed oven-hot as the game progressed to blow up their lead to 21 points, 53-32, at halftime.
Not contented, the Foodmasters further built an imposing 29-point bulge heading into the final period, leaving the CGC side in disarray the rest of the way.
Six Matias Food Haus players submitted double figures led by Winston Perez with 18. Rabaya contributed 17 points, Cris Diamos 16, Lumantas 12, and Benedict bandala and Jerson Espinosa with 10 apiece.
Randy Canog and Elgon Veloso connived for 31 points for the Appliance Masters, while Marlon Bustrillo donated 14 markers.
