CEBU, Philippines - The 1st Mayor Tomas R. Osmeña Invitational Motocross Cup, ballyhoed as the biggest motocross event in the Queen City of the South in two decades, blasts off today at the South Road Properties (SRP).
A total of P200,000 in cash prizes will be given away to the top performers in different categories.
Fully supported by the city government of Cebu, the one-day race is organized by Man and Machine and Power Sports Racing under the leadership of Jonas Adlawan.
Teams from Ozamiz, Lanao del Norte-Dimaporo Dipolog, Zamboanga, Ormoc, Team Pacquiao led by Buboy Fernandez, Bohol, Dumaguete, Sel-J Sports and a bunch of Cebuano riders have already confirmed their participating in the slambang show.
Aside from motocross action, an underbone competition will be staged to spice up the event.
Among the categories to be contested are the expert, executive, beginners, intermediate, mini and peewee. (FREEMAN NEWS)
