Guadalupe Airsoft Team rules 4th leg of Garcia airsoft

-

CEBU, Philippines - After dominating the first leg in Mandaue City, the Guadalupe Airsoft Team (GAT) reaffirmed its superiority by topping the fourth leg of the 1st Governor Gwen Garcia Airsoft Competition in San Remigio air soft ground.

The massive defense of GAT played a key role as it outclassed the Mandaue Airsoft Group (MAG) and Danao Airsoft Team (Diablo), which settled for second and third, respectively.

Each leg drew close to 700 participants from 17 teams.

“All the players are not aiming for the money but for the bragging rights, honor and prestige that they will get after winning in every leg,” said Paolo Garcia, the event’s chief executive for operations.

“With the series of legs that we have successfully hosted, Gov Cup has gained popularity in the country already. It is dubbed as one of the biggest airsoft competitions in terms of regularity and attendance,” Garcia added.

During the second leg in Moalboal, Deep Reacon, MAG and Saat took the top three spots. Deep Reacon made it two legs in a row as it also ruled the third leg in Balamban followed by GAT and Team Diablo.

The fifth leg will be staged in Argao on June 20-21, while the sixth and final leg is slated in the last weekend of July in Mandaue City.

All the top three winners in every leg will automatically advance into the championship round. The organizers though are planning to include the fourth and fifth placers as well. – Marigold P. Lebumfacil (THE FREEMAN)
