Siso fails to score sweep in Malaysia tennis tourney

Cebu’s tennis princess Sally Mae Siso bade farewell to the Malaysian Age-Group Junior Tennis Circuit with two golds, a silver and a bronze medal as she faltered in the final leg of the 2008 Perlis International Age-Group Tennis Competition at the Perlis Sports Complex in Kanger Perlis, Malaysia.

The University of San Carlos-South Campus tennis varsity supported by Dunlop and sports patron Jonathan “Atan” L. Guardo just settled for first runner-up in the singles and third in the doubles event.

Siso bowed to Indonesia’s Aldila Sutjiadi, 6-1, 7-5, the girls 14-under singles final.

As if lady luck completely turned its back on her, Siso and her South African partner Amore de Villieres lost to Prima Lestari and Sutjiadi in the doubles semifinal round, 2-6, 1-6.

Before competing in Perlis, Siso earned a double victory through the Langkawi International Age-Group Championships.
