CEBU - The Malagar brothers stole the limelight in the Vice Mayor Ember V. Alinsug 3-on-3 basketball tournament recently at the Consolacion Sports Complex. The event was among the highlights of Concolacion’s annual town fiesta celebration last October 29.
The Malagar siblings Louie, Larry, Elbert and Londy bagged the championship in the 22-above to 39-under category. Larry went home with the MVP award.
Another Malagar, Lemuel, shone the brightest as he lifted the MVP trophy after powering his team to the 21-under title. He was backed up by Mel Linao, James Jabla, and Jay-R.
RR Najarro, Bryan Ramos, and John Paul Paramel claimed the crown in the 17-under class, while Stephen Lada, Katiw Armean, Piktads Paramel, and Nato Gerunjo dominated the 40-above division.
RR Najarro and Katiw Armean romped off with the MVP honor in their respective age classifications.
The one-day tilt was organized by Poblacion Oriental Brgy. Councilor Paul Alelu Q. Flores, a former star of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws during his UAAP days. —EBV (THE FREEMAN)
