CEBU – The Noel Medalle-skippered Golden Eye nailed its first win in style, scoring a 90-75 rout of the previously undefeated Warriors in the the F. Llamas Youth Association (FYA) 1st Coach Rady Cup basketball tournament at the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
Former SIT Baby Skyblazer Janus Abellana figured prominently as Golden Eye snapped out of its three-game losing streak. The Warriors slipped to 2-1 in a tie with the Viking Haulers.
Abellana paced Golden Eye with 20 points followed by former UC Junior Webmaster Dominic Enriquez with 18 markers. Tristan Rama and Medalle also joined in the scoring parade to finish with 27 points combined
Elot Cadungog had 20 points for the Warriors, while Chrissar Llegunas scored 19.
The Viking haulers, on the other hand, scored a 100-95 victory over the Lakers behind the 26-point explosion of Tata Laborte.
