CEBU - The Cebu Volleyball Association (CEVA) will be hosting a five-day Volleyball Referee’s Attestation Course on September 9 to 13 at the Cebu Provincial Capitol Social Hall.
The course will qualify the participants for the Referees Congress, which will lead them to the status of a National Referee should they pass.
Those who will pass the course will be invited by CEVA to officiate in the upcoming Governor Gwen Garcia Unity Volleyball (GUV) Cup for Women. This is being done to expose them to actual games preparatory for the National Referees Congress in 2010.
Three international referees will conduct the course. They are Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) referees commissioner Vic Abalos, PVF coach commissioner Roger Branzuela, and Liberato Denito.
CEVA is inviting all physical education teachers from the different universities in Cebu and the rest who are interested to join the five-day seminar.
The course will be held daily from 8 am until 5 pm.
Registration fee is pegged at P2,000 inclusive of a breakfast, lunch and two snacks for five days, FIVB referees modules, and an official PVF National Referee Candidate identification card.
