ALA Promotions vice president for events Dennis Cañete announced that a public preview will be held at 5 pm today at the ALA Gym-Banilad Town Center with the warriors from Kenya, Tanzania, and Indonesia showing off a glimpse of their training and allowing the public to meet them in person.
Indonesian pugilist Heri Andrianto arrived yesterday morning in Cebu City via Manila, while reigning UBO bantamweight champion Nick “Black Sugar” Otieno of Kenya and Tanzanian Professional Boxing Commission titlist Rashid Ally touched down together in a flight from Nairobi, Kenya via Doha, Qatar, in the afternoon.
The preview features a signing session and picture taking period for the fans’ total pleasure. A video show opens the event for the viewers amusement.
Fight fans will also have the chance to ask direct questions from these contenders in the upcoming boxing blast off on May 31 at the Waterfront-Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Otieno will take on IBF Intercontinental flyweight champion Z “The Dream” Gorres, while Ally with go up against former WBC flyweight title-holder Malcolm “Eagle Eye” Tuñacao, who is making a ring comeback after a 16-month hiatus.
Andriyanto, on the other hand, will battle ALA Stable teen star Jason Pagara for the WBO Youth lightweight championship.
The highly-anticipated “One More Time” extravaganza is backstopped by ALA Promotions in partnership with premier entertainment leader Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, the city government of Cebu, Y101, and the great Oriental food specialist Big Mao-Crossroads.
