The M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) through its executive director Eddie B. Ybañez has thrown is full support to Don Bosco women’s soccer team in light of its participation in the 2008 National Beach Soccer Tournament set on May 24-25 in San Carlos City.
The Don Bosco belles led by head coach Bro. Jose Maria Aberasturi, SDB earned a ticket to the national finals after placing second in the Cebu eliminations held over the weekend in the municipality of Moalboal. Don Bosco lost to Bacolod in the final.
“Don Bosco always live up to our expectations in every tournament that we’re backing them up. They really deserve our support. Above all, this is in line with the extensive sports development program of MLSDF,” said Ybañez.
Way back in 2006, MLSDF backed Don Bosco that won the National Futsal Championship in Dumaguete City. A year before that, the Bosconians won the Club Championships in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
In a letter to MLSDF Chairman of the Board Michel J. Lhuillier, Aberasturi has expressed his profound gratitude to MLSDF for supporting the team. – EBV
