The annual MS Motosuit Motocross Series got an added boost with the coming in of Imarflex Battery Manufacturing Corp. as major corporate backer of its future races in the Visayas and Mindanao area.
As its initial venture, Imarflex EvVo, the new and advanced maintenance free motorcycle battery, will be the main presentor of the third leg of the 2008 MS Motosuit Series that is held in conjunction with the 10th Ornopia Cup on April 12-13 in Calambua, San Remigio.
“I’m really very happy with our tie-up with Imarflex. It is an added mileage for us knowing that our motocross series is getting bigger and better each year,” said MS Motosuit top honcho Lou Ornopia, the 2006 Sportsman of the Year awardee by the Sportswriters Association of Cebu (SAC).
Imarflex Battery Vis-Min regional sales manager Percival S. Villarba said they want to strenghten customer base and create brand awareness to their target market through the promotion of motocross, undeniably one of the country’s most exciting and crowd-drawing sports.
“We want to have a strong visibility/exposure for our products through our tie-up with Mr. Ornopia,” said Villarba. “We’re looking forward to sponsoring the rest of MS Motosuit races this year.”
Next weekend’s race will start off with the Enduro Challenge Trail Riders on April 12. The motocross showdown will be staged the following day with close to 100 riders from all over country expected to flaunt their gravity-defying stunts and electrifying aerial moves.
Among the stars to watch in the two-day tilt are the country’s undisputed motocross king Glen “D’ King” Aguilar and John Flores, both MS Motosuit image models, and the reigning “Ride of the Year” Juvannie Abellar.
Aside from cash prizes and trophies, the top performers in different categories will have a chance to win one of the two brand new motorcycles that will be raffled off courtesy of Keiz BJ Motor Sales and Services proprietor Seigfred Ornopia.
The other motorcycle is at stake for the spectators.
As an added treat to fans, Imarflex will give away items such as t-shirts, caps, key chains, assorted spakr plugs and stickers and will conduct free battery check-up during the event.
The second edition of the highly-successful motocross series will have its next stops in Ayugon, Negros Oriental on May 4 and back in the northern town of San Remigio on May 11 for the 2008 Mayor Mar Martinez Cup.– EBV
