All set for Halad Kang Mano Amon run

All is set for the staging of the 27th Halad Kang Mano Amon Run, the second longest existing running event in the country, on December 24 in Danao City.

The race is the final battle of the year for the Cebuano runners although out-of-towners are also looking forward to this action.

Close to P31,000 in cash prizes are at stake for all the winners in different categories that include the open, All-Danao Open, All-Danao elementary, secondary and tertiary, and executives.

Since the competition is being held in honor of Danao’s grand old man, Ramon Durano Sr., there will be no registration fee.

However, those who wish to compete still has to fill up entry forms that are available at the Philippine Sports Commission-7 Office located at the Cebu City Sports Center. Race numbers will be distributed on the race day.

The first 200 registrants will be given free snacks, while the top five finishers in each category will get souvenir t-shirts.

For further details, one may call Grace or Wewe of the organizing Danao City Sports Commission at 200-1212 or 200-1818. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
