A total of nine squads will be vying for the title led by Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC).
The competing teams are divided into two groups.
Under group A are last year's runner-up, Pepito Football Club, DBTC-B, Springdale, Bright Academy and San Roque Football Club.
In group B are defending champion, DBTC-A, host Cebu International School, Football Club Inter Lapulapu and Sacred Heart School-Jesuit.
The boys'12-under division attracted the most number of participating teams so far in the Aboitiz Cup-type competition this year.
Today's action will have CIS in the curtain raisers against FC Inter Lapulapu at 1 pm.
Bright Academy, on the other hand, will have San Roque Football Club in the second game.
The last game of the day will have Springdale against Pepito FC.
The defending champion, DBTC-A is enjoying a bye.
There are nine classes under the Aboitiz Cup with the women's open and the boys' under-18 already done.
Other classes to be featured are the premier men's open, boys and girls' 15 and then the players' 6, 8 and 10.
