The 10th Aboitiz-CebuFA Football Cup Women's Open tournament winds up
today with the Queen City United needing just a draw with Mulbachs to retain its title at the San Roque field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
The Queen City United belles started their title retention bid with a 6-1 win against sister-team University of San Carlos.
One week later, QCU kept its hot streak to tame host San Roque Football Club, 1-0, and advance into the final undefeated.
Mulbachs, on the other hand, holds an even 1-1 win-loss record. It scored its lone victory against USC via a 2-1 verdict.
A triple tie is in the offing today if Mulbachs and San Roque prevail over QCU and USC, respectively.
In the event this happens, CebuFA president Jonathan "Maxi" Maximo said the winning score between Mulbachs and QCU will determine the champion.
