Tabotabos shine in Iloilo tennisfest

The Tabotabos had a great time in Iloilo City as they claimed several honors in the 1st Governor Neil Tupaz Open Tennis Cup recently.

Tuburan councilor Roy Tabotabo, one of Cebu's top netters during his prime, paired up with Titus Tabotabo to collect a pair of titles.

Roy and Titus Tabotato defeated the tandem of Juanito Crisoto and Alvin Santiago, 8-5, to win the men's open double crown.

Roy and Titus went on to dominate the 40-above class following an 8-4 conquest of Bong Argueles and Nene Sagansay of Bacolod.

The son and daughter of the Tabotabos also did well in their respective classes.

Cheska, daughter of Roy Tabotabo, snatched the girls 12-under tiara by taming Melisse Sobrevega in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.

Titus' son, Vince Marc, went away with the silver in the 10-under class after bowing down to Robert Labres in a very tough championship match that ended with the score of 5-7, 6-3 (10-8) in favor of Labres.

The Iloilo trip of the Tabotabos was supported by Tuburan Mayor Rosemarie Suezo.
