The Cebu Blue Marlins salvaged 13 golds, 11 silvers, and seven bronzes in the 10th NegOr Governor's Cup Swimming Competition at the Lorenzo G.Teves Memorial Aqua Center in Dumaguete City.
The final standings of the two-day event, however, is still being finalized, but the Cebuano squad led by coach Rolando Alvarez are confident enough they will make it to the top three.
Andrew Dequina led the charge for the Cebu Marlins with five golds and a silver from the men's open and 18-under class combined.
Dequina snatched the gold in the 200m individual medley, 100m backstroke and freestyle, 400m freestyle, and the 200m breaststroke. He also took a silver in the 100m butterfly.
In the youngest age classification, the 6-under, Anthony Navarro got two golds via the 200m IM and 50m butterfly. He also collected three silvers through the 50m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle.
