Karatekas will brace themselves for action as they test their mettle in the 1st Argao Invitational Karatedo Championship 1 p.m. today at the Argao Sports Complex.
The divisions to be contested in the two-day affair are Batang Pinoy (6-15 years old), juniors and seniors.
Aside from the Cebu delegates, karatekas from Negros Oriental Karatedo Federation are also expected to romp off with the top honors.
On the other hand, there will also be a regional referee course to be conducted in the morning before the tournament begins.
"This referee course will be in preparation to the national referee course, which will happen on September 23 before the pre-SEAG tournament," said Central Visayas Karatedo Federation president Manuel Aloba.
The karatedo pre-SEAG tournament will be on September 24-25 at Mandaue Sports and Cultural Complex.
