Four arrested for illegal drugs in Cogon-Pardo
CEBU, Philippines — Four drug suspects were arrested in a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Inayawan Police Station 7, in Barangay Cogon-Pardo, Cebu City on May 15, 2026.
Police said the operations, led by Police Captain Troy John Lalamunan in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region-7, were part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs under Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations.
The first operation was conducted at around 2:40 A.M. in Sitio Kintanar, resulting in the arrest of the first suspect. Recovered from the suspect were suspected shabu weighing approximately 0.16 grams estimated worth ?1,088.
At around 3:35 A.M., a second buy-bust operation was carried out in Sitio Lourdes, which led to the arrest of another suspect who was found with 0.20 grams of suspected shabu estimated worth ?1,360.
A third operation followed at around 4:30 A.M. in Sitio All Season 3, Barangay Cogon Pardo, after authorities responded to a report from a concerned citizen. The third suspect yielded 0.08 grams of suspected shabu worth ?544.
At around 4:55 A.M., police conducted another response operation in Sitio All Season 1, also prompted by a citizen’s report. The operation led to the arrest of another suspect with 0.08 grams of suspected shabu valued at ?544 confiscated.
In total, authorities recovered approximately 0.52 grams of suspected shabu estimated worth ?3,536 across all operations.
All seized evidence was properly marked and inventoried at the scene in the presence of witnesses before being submitted to the Cebu City Forensic Unit for laboratory examination. The arrested suspects are currently detained at Police Station 7 pending the filing of appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (CEBU NEWS)
