CEBU, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-7 is urging Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household beneficiaries to update their personal information online through the “I-Registro” platform.

This is in preparation for the nationwide rollout of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants in January 2025.

National Household Targeting Office (NHTO) Director Jimmy Francis Schuck II emphasized that the I-Registro digital platform provides an alternative option for beneficiaries to update their profiles without traveling to their respective DSWD offices.

The I-Registro was already available last Friday, December 6, 2024. Schuck said this initiative supports the DSWD’s goal to provide the delivery of social protection services while making processes more accessible to the public.

“Through the i-Registro, 4Ps beneficiaries can conveniently update their profiles from the comfort of their homes. They can also upload supporting documents online and receive notifications via text or email about the status of their updates within minutes,” said Schuck.

Users can also ensure that data privacy is upheld because the i-Registro is integrated with the Philippine National Identification System (PhilSys) and the existing 4Ps database.

While the i-Registro offers a modern and convenient solution, Schuck clarified that it does not replace traditional manual updating.

“It only serves as a digital updating platform that will especially work for those with mobile devices and internet access,” he said.

4Ps beneficiaries can still opt to choose between the digital platform and the traditional pen-and-paper method for updating their profiles. However, DSWD warned against updating through both methods to prevent duplication of records.

For areas with limited or no internet connectivity, the DSWD is developing an offline version of the platform.

Plans are also underway to set up i-Registro kiosks in strategic locations to ensure that all beneficiaries, regardless of internet access, can update their information efficiently.

“We encourage all 4Ps beneficiaries to utilize the i-Registro, as an alternative, innovative, and self-service platform to update their profiles on F1KD, to avoid the need to travel and fall and wait in long lines,” said Schuck.

Users can access the i-Registro web portal at https://iregistro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph

Through this platform, users can update information, upload supporting documents, and receive real-time notifications via text or email about the status of their updates.

F1KD, which stands for 'First 1,000 Days,' is a program that provides conditional cash grants to pregnant 4Ps beneficiaries and households with children aged zero to two years old.

The program is the government’s commitment to early childhood development and maternal health and the importance of the first 1,000 days in a child’s growth.

Meanwhile, 1-Pacman Partylist led by its first nominee, Milka Romero, distributed rice and medicine to 1,000 senior citizens in Cebu City’s three barangays yesterday, December 7, 2024.

Held at the Brgy. Inayawan gymnasium, the beneficiaries who came from the barangays of Inayawan, Basak-Pardo, and Basak-San Nicolas expressed their gratitude to the partylist for their care and concern.

Romero, who handed out the five kilos of rice, said that this is part of their efforts in showing gratitude to the people who have supported them for the past nine years as a partylist.

The 31-year old eldest daughter of incumbent 1-Pacman Partylist Representative Mikee Romero, said that if given a chance to replace his father she will continue to advocate for women and youth empowerment through sports, as well as continue to advocate for better employment and job generation.

Milka was in Cebu for two days where she also conducted a volleyball clinic on December 6, 2024 to 100 individuals ages 10 to 40 years old in Brgy. Inayawan, along with her team the Capital1 Solar Spikers.
